Stock Market Highlights on Wednesday, Nov 4, 2026: The benchmark indices ended higher for the fifth day, tracking sharp gains in FMCG, realty, and metal shares. The Sensex rose 383.55 points or 0.5 per cent to 77,301.40, and the Nifty50 was up 149.75 points or 0.63 per cent at 23,960.60. Bharat Electronics, Adani Enterprises, and Titan Company were the top gainers in the Nifty50 index. In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap 100 and the Nifty SmallCap 100 rose 1.55 per cent and 2.0 per cent, respectively.

Sector-wise, Nifty IT declined over 1 per cent to become the worst performer, while Nifty Media, Nifty Metal, Nifty FMCG, and Nifty Realty outperformed.

Stock Market LIVE Updates: Indian equity markets extended their winning streak for the fifth consecutive session, with the Sensex and Nifty gaining 384 points (+0.5 per cent) and 150 points (0.6 per cent) to close at 77,301 and 23,961 points respectively. The market was supported by broad-based buying and strength in select heavyweight stocks. Market breadth remained positive, with midcap and smallcap indices outperforming, rising 1.55% and 2.0% respectively.

Going forward, market direction will hinge on quarterly earnings, crude oil trends, developments in the Middle East, US bond yields and FII flows. FIIs remained net buyers of ₹6,837 Cr on November 3, while DIIs were net sellers of ₹3,679 Cr. While the recent recovery has improved market sentiment, sustained institutional inflows and broader sectoral participation will be crucial for maintaining the positive momentum.
