Ramayana ends Diwali jinx; beats Tiger 3, Krrish 3 and Housefull 4 to become top Diwali opener in Hindi
Ramayana: Rise of a Legend has recorded the highest opening-day Hindi net collection among major films released around Diwali, earning Rs 47.50 crore. The film has surpassed Tiger 3, which collected Rs 43 crore on its opening day in 2023, followed by Krrish 3 (Rs 24 crore), Housefull 4 (Rs 19.08 crore), Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (Rs 13.25 crore) and Shivaay (Rs 10.24 crore). However, the release timings of these films are important when comparing their box-office performances. Tiger 3 opened on Diwali itself and faced festive-day restrictions before witnessing a significant jump the following day, while Krrish 3 and Housefull 4 also benefited from post-festival growth. With Diwali celebrations influencing theatre attendance, Ramayana's performance over the following days will be crucial in determining how well it sustains its strong opening.
