Stock Market Highlights on Friday, Nov 6, 2026: The benchmark indices extended rally to sixth session with the Nifty50 recording best closing since the start of West Asia conflict as bank and financial services shares advanced amid unwinding of global AI trade.

The Sensex rose 1,718.01 points or 2.17 per cent to 81,028.021, and the Nifty50 was up 493.75 points or 2.01 per cent at 25,030.35. The Nifty50 crossed the 25,000 level for first time since February 27, 2026.

Mahindra & Mahindra, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Life Insurance Company were the top gainers in the Nifty50. In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap 100 and the Nifty SmallCap 100 fell 0.02 and 0.82 per cent, respectively

Sector-wise, the Nifty Private Bank outperformed, while the Nifty Media declined the most.

Stock Market LIVE Updates: Nifty continued its excellent uprun for the seventh consecutive sessions on Friday and closed the day higher by 493 points. A long bull candle was formed on the daily chart that indicates a decisive breakout of crucial resistance around 24,700-24,800 levels-as per the concept of change in polarity. Nifty ended the week with hefty gains of around 8.58 per cent by around 1977 points as per w-o-w basis. This is phenomenal performance of Nifty on the weekly chart over the last five years, with another short session of Muhurat Trading left on Sunday-8th November. The underlying trend of Nifty remains positive. Further upside from here could open the higher targets of 25,500 in the near term. Immediate support is placed at 24,750.
