The second season of romantic drama series Off Campus, starring Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalynis, is set to premiere on Prime Video on April 28, 2027, the streamer announced Thursday.

Sharing a teaser on Instagram, the streaming wrote, “Off Campus. Season 2. April 28.” The clip features Mika Abdalla’s Allie Hayes announcing that she and Stephen Kalyn’s Dean Di Laurentis are officially returning for Season 2.

Created by Louisa Levy, the series is adapted from Elle Kennedy’s bestselling Off Campus book series, which began in 2015 and comprises five novels.

The show centres on an elite college ice hockey team and the women in their lives, exploring love, heartbreak and self-discovery as they navigate friendships, relationships and the challenges of growing up.

Season 2 will focus on the romance between Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis.

The first season, which premiered on May 13, drew 36 million viewers worldwide within 12 days of its release, becoming the third most-watched debut season of a series in Prime Video’s history.

According to Amazon, the third and final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty drew 70 million viewers in its first 70 days, marking a 65 per cent increase over the second season.

The series also became Amazon’s top television season of all time among women aged 18-34, the company added.

India Fowler will continue as a series regular, playing Grace Ivers, John Logan’s love interest. Julia Sarah Stone is also set to reprise her role as Jules, Logan’s younger non-binary sibling who runs Briar’s gossip account.

Khobe Clarke returns as Beau Maxwell, Dean’s friend and Joanna Maxwell’s brother, while Miles Gutierrez-Riley will once again play Dexter, a friend of Hannah.

The upcoming season will also feature new additions to the cast. Hamilton actor Phillipa Soo joins in a recurring role as Scarlett, a theatre artist who guest-directs an original production for the college drama department. Charlie Evans will make a guest appearance as Hunter Davenport, Dean’s former high-school hockey rival, who was introduced towards the end of the first season. Shay Rudolph will play Summer, Dean’s younger sister.

Josh Heuston, who portrayed Hannah’s crush Justin Kohl in Season 1, will not return for the upcoming instalment. Chad Willett, Steve Howey and Chelah Horsdal are also absent from the list of confirmed Season 2 cast members.

Louisa Levy serves as co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Gina Fattore. Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen and James Seidman executive produce the series for Temple Hill, with Annika Patton as co-executive producer.

Leanna Billings of Billings Productions and Neal Flaherty are also on board as executive producers.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, creator Louisa Levy discussed the show’s approach to shifting focus between different couples, while confirming that Hannah and Garrett would remain part of the new season. She said, “Sometimes you fall in love with a couple, and then you get their happily ever after.”
